I see no reason on Memorial Day we can&#039;t honor the sacrifices of all Americans who fought and died for principles they held dear. That includes those who fought on behalf of the confederacy. Slavery certainly wasn&#039;t the only issue at stake. I certainly don&#039;t condone much of what happened during this period of our history, but, I also don&#039;t think we should minimize the sacrifices both sides of this bloody war made, and lets not assume that most of the soldiers fighting on behalf of the confederacy only had dishonorable intentions. I don&#039;t think this is necessarily the case.]]></description>
