This blog is a collection of content related to the Bible and theology.
My name is Jonathan. I grew up in a rural community just outside Raleigh, NC where I heard the gospel often from parents who love Jesus. After surviving a serious car wreck during my senior year of high school, God woke me up from the superficial Christianity I had fabricated as a kid. The good news of Jesus landed on me in a powerful way. I believed. Then I wanted to learn and teach the Bible.
Sensing a call into pastoral ministry during my freshman year at Anderson University in South Carolina, I transferred to The College at Southeastern in Wake Forest, NC. I received a B. A. in Biblical Studies and History, got married, and did a little bit of seminary. I moved my family to the Twin Cities in 2008 for theological training at TBI, which became Bethlehem College and Seminary the next year. I’m currently a few classes away from completing the Master of Divinity as an apprentice at Bethlehem. I work at Desiring God as a Content Strategist and also serve as the Blog Editor for Fighterverses.com.
By grace, I aspire to be a pastor. My wife, Melissa, and I live in the Twin Cities with our three children, Elizabeth, Hannah, and Michaiah. I am the richest man in the world.
Hey man,
Thanks for the encouragement about St. Andrews on Chelsea’s blog. It means a lot to me. We are extremely excited, and I cannot wait to get over there. We’re also so excited for you guys and your next baby! Noah was born on November 7th, it looks like that’s going to be a joyous time of year for you too. I’m glad as well to see your interest in theological interpretation…the movement is huge in the UK, maybe you should think about joining me over there! Be sure to keep in touch,
Grace and Peace in Christ,
Jarred
I live right here in Minnesota too. I was trying to find you on Facebook and thought we could connect. My email is peterpark@redemptionboulevard.com
Johnathan,
I didn’t know how else to contact you (or anyone else that does bible arcs) . I have been working hard on biblearc’ing over the past couple months. One issue I keeping thinking about is, “Am I doing this right, This is my interpretation, but is it what the text is really saying.” Sometimes I see what other have done and feel good that I saw what they saw – but I also see major differences.
It would be nice if this could be taught as an online class or even have a webinar to answer questions that people struggle with. Anyhow just some thoughts. jessekegg@me.com
Thanks
Jesse
God bless u jonathan my wordpress neighbor…
